We are looking for a Master with experience from the Cruise/ Yacht Industry.


ABOUT THE JOB

  • The Master is the highest-ranking person onboard and has the overall responsibility for the safety of passengers, crew, vessel and environment.
  • Overriding authority and the responsibility to make decisions with respect to safety for the crew, the Vessel and the cargo and pollution prevention and to request the Company’s assistance as may be necessary.
  • Has the responsibility for good cooperation and coordination between all departments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Fluent in English (more languages will be considered as benefit).
  • Relevant background and experience is a must and experience onboard Yachts is considered a benefit.
  • Ensuring that all Company’s policy statements are followed.
  • Ability to comply with Company’s standards and health regulations, safety of the crew, vessel and cargo.
  • Ensuring that the vessel’s structural limitations are not exceeded.
  • Ensuring that cargo is securely handled while sailing and in port.

CONTRIBUTION & AIM

The Master shall contribute to:
  • Training of Chief Officer to take the command of the vessel in the absence of the Master
  • Enhance safety and environmental awareness of the entire crew
  • Create a positive working attitude and atmosphere between all crew
  • Promote proposals to the head administration, together with department heads, that can make operations more efficient.
The Master shall aim to:
  • Fulfil all requirements from class authorities, flag state, operator, owner and manager.
  • Maintain at a good working relation vessel with charterers.
  • Arrange inspections and revisions that shall be conducted by authorities, class institutions or charterers.
